As a new year unfolds, I’m drawn to three truths that continually challenge and awaken my spirit. These principles aren’t just habits—they’re a call to a deeper, more purposeful life.
1. Anchor Yourself in God’s Word
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
God’s Word isn’t a book on a shelf; it’s the foundation for navigating every step of life. Are you letting His truth guide your decisions, your values, and your purpose?
2. Pray to Transform Relationships
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
Prayer is the heartbeat of connection—with God and others. How often are you lifting up the people in your life? Prayer doesn’t just change circumstances; it transforms hearts.
3. Push Your Body to Serve Your Spirit
“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:19)
In my youth, I ran. Now, I walk two miles most days. Movement clears my mind, energizes my spirit, and reminds me to steward the gift of health. Are you pushing yourself to stay sharp for the work God has for you?
This year, I challenge you to live awakened—to lean fully into God’s Word, to pray deeply, and to move boldly. Let’s make 2025 a year of building on what truly matters.
