Have you ever seen a painting worth millions of dollars and thought, “Why does it cost so much?”
What makes a simple painting so special?
Sure, a painting’s worth might come from its design, but it is who made the painting that determines its worth.
YOU ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE!
YOU ARE HIS BEST WORK!
YOU ARE WHAT HE DISPLAYS FOR ALL TO SEE.
YOU HAVE INHERENT WORTH!
When people look at you, they see God’s grace, wonder, and goodness.
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us.” Eph. 2:10
When you make a mistake, does it keep you up at night? Do you think about it for days? Do you feel the weight of anxiety?
God is merciful. He sees your mistake and offers redemption.
God is loving. He sees your anxiety and offers peace.
God loves you and believes in you. He will never stop loving you because of a mistake.
He takes your mistakes and turns them into something good!
His love is unconditional!
SO, GET UP AND TRY AGAIN! GOD BELIEVES IN YOU!
“Love bears up under anything, and everything that comes is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].” – 1 Corinthians 13:7
Are you constantly comparing yourself to others and their gifts?
God has created you in his perfect image.
He has a purpose for you.
He loves ALL of you, including your weaknesses.
In the eyes of God, there is no status.
Every part is essential when serving God – whether being an usher, part of the traffic team, picking up the trash, or standing at the pulpit.
Don’t envy some else’s gifts, but delight in your weakness and the unique way He made you because it will be an advantage in your life.
“That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:10
