Recently I watched the film The Great Awakening, and more than once I found tears in my eyes.

Not because I was watching history.

But because I was watching a mirror.

In the beginning days of America, before we were strong, before we were prosperous, before we were influential among the nations, something deeper was taking place. Men and women gathered in fields. They prayed in homes. They trembled under conviction. They wept under the presence of God. Entire communities were reordered, not by politics, not by strategy, but by awakening.

Revival did not follow the birth of the nation.

Revival birthed the nation.

It was not organization that formed America’s foundation. It was visitation.

Hearts were softened. Consciences were awakened. Altars were rebuilt. And from that soil, a country emerged with a sense that God was not distant, but near.

Today we stand in another hour that feels strangely familiar.

We see strength on the outside, but uncertainty underneath. Noise everywhere, yet a quiet hunger rising in unexpected places. Division across communities, yet a growing cry in individual hearts that something more is needed than arguments, policies, or platforms.

America does not need a better strategy.

America needs another awakening.

The same Spirit who moved through colonial towns can move again through our cities. The same God who stirred farmers, students, pastors, and ordinary families can stir this generation. History has not closed that door. Heaven has not withdrawn that invitation.

Awakening always begins the same way.

One heart at a time. One prayer at a time. One surrendered life at a time.

I sense deeply that we are standing near the edge of something again. Not merely decline. Not merely transition. But visitation.

God has not finished with this nation.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:19

He is still calling. Still stirring. Still drawing people back to Himself.

And just as in the beginning, the future of America may once again be decided not first in courts or capitols, but in living rooms, prayer closets, and quiet moments where ordinary people say yes to God.

Perhaps what you are feeling right now is not concern. Perhaps it is an invitation.

Perhaps the first signs of awakening are already beginning in you.

Blessings,

Mike
