Dear friends and family,

The city noise faded beneath him as Peter stepped onto the rooftop. The smell of the sea moved through the air. Voices echoed from the streets below. Somewhere nearby, bread was being prepared for lunch. And Scripture says Peter became hungry.

I love that God included that detail.

Because it reminds us that Peter was not standing there as a superhero or spiritual giant. He was simply tired. Hungry. Human. Looking for a quiet place to pray above the noise of the day.

And somehow, in that ordinary moment, natural hunger became the doorway to something spiritual.

Before Peter ever saw the vision, he felt the hunger.

That speaks deeply to me.

I think many believers are feeling hungry again. Not just tired of the world, but hungry for something more. Hungry for God to speak clearly. Hungry for renewed fire. Hungry for something real in a world that feels increasingly hollow and noisy.

And it was there, on that rooftop between the sounds of earth and the voice of Heaven, that Peter heard the words:

“Rise, kill, and eat.”

Three words. Short. Sharp. Life-changing.

Rise speaks of altitude.

Sometimes God has to pull us higher before He can show us what He wants us to see. Peter had to step above the noise of the street to hear the whisper of Heaven. And honestly, many of us have been living too low for too long—buried under fear, distraction, bad news, and exhaustion.

But I sense the Lord calling His people higher again.

Higher in prayer.
Higher in expectation.
Higher in faith.

Kill speaks of attitude.

Peter carried mindsets God needed to break open before revival could move through him. And if we are honest, so do we. Pride. Offense. Fear. Cynicism. Small thinking. Some things must die if we are to walk into what God is preparing next.

Brokenness is not weakness. Sometimes it is simply agreeing with God instead of defending ourselves.

Eat speaks of appetite.

What we feed on shapes us. And I believe the Holy Spirit is restoring a real hunger for the presence of God. Not hype. Not performance. Not religious noise. Just Jesus.

As I prepare to stand among pastors and leaders in Moscow, I have been deeply moved by the hunger I see in so many believers across Russia. In difficult times, their worship still burns. Their prayers still carry faith. Their hearts still reach for God.

We have had enough noise.

What we need is fresh bread from Heaven.

A new altitude.
A new attitude.
A new appetite.

Maybe that is what God is saying to His Church right now.

Rise.
Kill.
Eat.

Blessings,

Mikel
