Today, I want to testify!
Many of you know what this year has looked like for my family and me, yet I want to testify to the greatness of God.
When the angel Gabriel visited Mary, he spoke words that were both profound and powerful. He said of Jesus:
“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” — Luke 1:32-33
Life, as we know it, is full of unexpected moments some that bring joy and others that bring pain. Yet one thing I have come to recognize, time and time again, is that the greatness of our God never changes or fades. His greatness is not only seen in His power but also in His deep, personal love for us.
So in this message, I want to share some of the many ways God has revealed His greatness.
Jesus is great in how He ministers to those struggling with FAILURE.
We’ve all made mistakes!
In John 8:1-11, a woman was caught in adultery and dragged before Jesus. The Pharisees wanted judgment, but Jesus gave redemption. He did not condone sin, yet He offered grace. That same grace extends to us today.
Romans 8:1 reminds us: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” If you are carrying the weight of past failures, bring them to Jesus He offers forgiveness, not condemnation.
Jesus is great in how He ministers to those struggling with FAITH.
When life feels like a storm the winds will try to waver your faith.
In Mark 4:35-41, the disciples panicked as their boat was tossed by the waves. Instead of trusting Jesus, they let fear take over. But in their fear, they turned to the right place they went to Him.
Sometimes, we try to handle life’s storms on our own, but supernatural struggles require supernatural intervention. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
When doubt creeps in, lean into His Word and let Him strengthen your faith.
“Feed your faith and starve your fear.”
Jesus is great in how He ministers to those struggling with FEELINGS.
Grief, disappointment, and sorrow can feel overwhelming.
Mary and Martha felt this when their brother, Lazarus, died (John 11:1-44). Yet Jesus met them in their pain, showing that He not only has the power to restore but that He deeply understands our struggles.
Jesus was moved not by doubt but by the reality of suffering. His presence in our lives draws out a faith we didn’t even know we had.
Jesus is great in how He ministers to those struggling with the FUTURE.
Uncertainty can be paralyzing. In John 14:1-3, Jesus reassures us: “Let not your hearts be troubled… I go to prepare a place for you.”
The world is chaotic, and the future often seems uncertain, but Jesus is already there. He provides peace in uncertainty and direction in confusion. If you’re anxious about what’s ahead, trust the One who holds the future.
Jesus is great in how He EMPOWERS us when we feel weak.
Acts 1:8 declares, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”
We were never meant to do life alone. God equips, enables, and empowers us for His mission. Strength is not about striving but about surrendering to Him.
No matter what you are facing, failure, doubt, emotions, fear, or uncertainty, Jesus is great. He is the Son of the Most High, and He reigns forever. Hold onto Him, because He is already holding onto you.
