Just Breathe

“The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

~ Job 33:4

Have you ever felt like no one understands you?

Or maybe you’ve felt like your life is going nowhere?

Perhaps, like me, you’ve had a time of feeling utterly hopeless?

Have you ever felt like you are far away from God?

You are not alone in your feelings.

God understands exactly how you feel, and His love for you never changes.

No one knows you better than God.

No one understands your needs better than God

No one knows what’s best for you more than God.

No one is closer to you than God.

No one loves you more than God.

During times of uncertainty or fear the best thing for you to do is to just breathe.

When things don’t make sense, or you feel alone don’t overthink your situation, just breathe.

Breathe and reflect back on all the times God got you through a battle.

Breathe and cry out to God with your struggles.

Breathe and draw near to God.

Breathe and listen for God’s Spirit in your heart.

Breathe and release your fears.

Breathe and release your worries.

Breathe and let go of your sins.

Breathe and thank God for his enduring faithfulness.

Breathe and sing praises to God.

Breathe and let God’s peace fill your lungs.

Breathe and feel the weight of the world leave your shoulders.

Breathe and remember how dear you are to God.

Breathe and realize that you are more precious to God than any of His other creations.

Breathe and call on the name of Jesus.

Just breathe.

Favor For Labor

“Lazy people always want things but never get them. Those who work hard get plenty.” ~ Proverbs 13:4

It’s easy to feel like your effort at work goes unnoticed.

It can be very discouraging feeling as though your actions have no purpose.

Thankfully, with God, everything we do has a higher purpose!

God can use our labor to change His kingdom!

Work as though it were for the Lord and not for man!

God notices your efforts- God knows your heart!

God will give you favor for your labor!

God knows your needs-

He knows your situations better than you do!

If you are faithful and dedicated to God’s work, He will be faithful to you.

Live Positively

“Most folks are about as happy as they
make up their minds to be” -Abraham Lincoln

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Do you focus on the negative or on the positive?

The only one who can make the decision to make your life a positive one is yourself.

The best way to stay positive it to keep your thought life under control, and think positively! How can you live positively if you are only thinking about negative things?

Today I want you to meditate on these three powerful thoughts:

1. Because of God’s love, God is for us.

2. Because of God’s love, nothing can separate us from Him.

3. Because of God’s love, you more than a conqueror.

Set Your Goal To Greatness

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” ~ Philippians 4:13

The best way to cheat yourself out of greatness is by talking yourself out of completing your goals.

The best way to achieve greatness is to make it your goal.

No matter what your goals are, the only way to achieve your goal is to begin and keep going!

Whether it’s getting closer to God, learning a new language, achieving healthier eating/work out habits, or achieving an ideal financial situation, all of these goals require taking a first step.

Don’t be afraid of growth; don’t be afraid of your goals!

God is with you always, and you can do all things through Him!

If you’re afraid of beginning, you will never finish.

If you quite before you cross the finish line you will never reach your goal.

Don’t expect to reach your goal right away; you’ve got to keep taking the steps toward your goal until you reach it!

But God will be with you each step of the way!

An Excellent 2018

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence’s of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9

As children of God, He wants the very best for us.

God wants us to live an excellent life, and this begins by living in excellence.

Excellence is not perfection, but rather the nature of being outstanding in quality. This means striving to do your best, and going above the status quo. Excellence isn’t just a series of temporary actions, but it is a part of who you are.

Have a desire for excellence. Strive to be the best you can be in all situations. Living in excellence to show the glory of God is one of the best ways for you to be a witness to others.

Excellence requires discipline.

Find ways in your everyday life to live in excellence.

Whether that means making efforts to keep your house in excellent condition, maintaining your work out habits, or being the best employee you can be- strive for excellence in every area of your life.

Start the year off by making the decision to live in excellence. I encourage you to seek God in what steps to take.

I pray you have an excellent 2018!
