Today Is A New Day

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

his mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.”

~ Lamentations 3:22-23

Some people get so hung up over their past mistakes that they can’t live in the present.

But God doesn’t want us living this way; He has already forgiven all of our mistakes and made us new!

It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday.

It doesn’t matter what happened in your past.

Today is a new day! Today is a new you!

By living in your past mistakes,

it’s impossible to live a life a faith.

Living a life of faith is living knowing that your mistakes have been forgiven, and you have nothing to be ashamed of anymore!

Today is a new day, you don’t have to live the regrets of your yesterday.

Today I encourage you to give all of your mistakes over to God, and live free of any burdons!

It’s Not About Us

“Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be given glory on account of your gracious love and faithfulness.”

~ Psalm 115:1

Our salvation does not depend on our worthiness.

Our salvation depends on Christ’s worthiness.

The blessings God gives us are not about how good we are.

The blessings God gives us are about how good God is.

Our lives should not be about us.

Our lives should be about others.

Our plans should not be about us.

Our plans should be about God’s plans.

Our accomplishments should not be about us.

Our accomplishments should be about God’s victory.

Praise should not be given to us.

All praise and glory should be given to God.

Nothing about our lives should be about us.

Everything should be about God, God’s purposes, and God’s love for us.

This isn’t to say that God doesn’t want us to take care of ourselves, or to love ourselves.

God loves to bless us, take care of us, and to know that we are happy, healthy, and well taken care of.

But our first priorities should be to His will of reaching every corner of the earth with His Gospel message of hope, love, and restoration.

This week I encourage you to praise God for His faithfulness, and commit your lives to His love, His purpose, and His plan for your life.

Puzzling Love

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.”

~ 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Valentines Day is a day where everyone comes together to celebrate love, and the loved ones in their lives. But for many people, Valentine’s Day can be a day that is dreaded because they are not in romantic relationship.

Many people are puzzled about love because they don’t know what love really is, and that can make love seem like a scary thing.

When we understand what real love is, we can understand how to best love others and ourselves.

Love isn’t a feeling.

Love is action.

Love isn’t what you hope to get out of a relationship.

Love is what you do for the other person.

Love is putting others needs before your own.

Love can be exchanged with all of the people in your life: Family, friends, coworkers, or even strangers.

True love isn’t romance.

True love is found in the love of God!

God is love.

God is our example for love.

“God so loved the world that He gave…”

True love is going out of your way to show other’s God’s Love.

Live a life of love.

Live a life of action.

Don’t just see a need- Meet it.

Don’t just tell someone you love them- Act on it.

Don’t just say that you love God- Live your life for Him!

This Valentine’s Day I encourage you to look outside the normal box of “Romantic Love”, and show your love and appreciation for all of the people you love in your life!

You Are Not Alone!

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10 ESV

God is With You!

Always! God is with you always!

He never leaves us, and He never expects us to do anything on our own.

God wants to help us!

When you accept Christ into your life, He litterally comes into your heart!

He never leaves!

Don’t Be Afraid Of Anything!

What is there to be afraid of whem the creator of the universe lives inside of you?

While on Earth, Jesus encountered every temptation that we do today!

He understands what you are going through, and is with you to help get you through your trials!

Let God’s Word Strengthen You!

One of the devil’s favorite things to do is make us feel isolated.

The devil wants us to feel alone.

But God’s Word tells us that we are not alone! God is with us!

If you never read your Bible, then how will you know how God can help us?

Get in the Word of God!

Spend time with Him!

The Word of God is alive!

The only way for it to work in your life is if you put it in your life!
