Just Keep Praying

Just Keep Praying!

One of the greatest tragedies of today is that Christians are not doing what they are designed to do: Fellowship with God.
How do we fellowship with God? Through prayer!
Our prayer life is the most important thing we could ever nurture. It is through our prayers that God can work in the world!

Words are the link between Heaven and Earth.
When you need anything, make your requests be known to God.
Even Jesus, who had deity, had to pray to The Father to see things in His life come to pass (Mark 1:35). If He prayed, how much more do we need to pray?
The way God is able to work in our lives is through our prayers. When we make our requests known unto God, He hears us!

We know God and He hears us (1 John 5:15)! Fellowship with Him, don’t talk to Him only when you need something. Prayer is a two-way conversation. Don’t do all the talking, let God speak to you. Seek for Him and you will find Him!

When you pray, pray will all of your heart, with all sincerity (Jeremiah 29:13).
Have confidence in God’s abilities! Have confidence in the power of prayer! God is more powerful than we could ever imagine. Don’t let your doubts be more real in your life than His abilities.

Be bold in your prayers (1John 5:14-17).
We are children of God! Through Jesus we were born again into His family! Just as a child has full rights to talk to and request from their parents, so we have full rights to talk to our Heavenly Father!

We are all called to be prayer warriors (Philippians 4:6-7)!
Pray until you get your victory! Take your prayer life seriously! We are called not to fight our battles with our own efforts, but to fight with our words through prayer!

Live a life of prayer! Just keep praying!

Stay Refreshed!

“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
~ Jeremiah 31:25

Just as we must constantly maintain a vehicle to assure it’s best quality, it is essential to keep ourselves refreshed!
We must learn how to properly maintain our body, mind, and spirit!
How can you cross the finish line if you are too fatigued to press on?
Keeping your body, mind, and spirit refreshed is essential to living a life of victory.
We need to learn to know when to take a break, and when to let God improve our lives.

Refresh your body!
Keep it rested, healthy, and active.

Refresh your mind!
Renew it with God’s Word daily, keep learning, and cast your worries upon the Lord!

Refresh your spirit!
Keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning in your life, pray, get in the Word of God, and get under the teaching of your pastor at church!

Stay refreshed!

Keep It Hot!

I love hot things: Hot summer days, hot soup on a cold day, hot showers. And no matter where I am in the world, my favorite thing to eat is hot and spicey food. The hotter the food, the better it tastes.
I can say the same thing about having the fire of the Holy Spirit in my life. The hotter the Holy Spirit is in my life, the better it gets.
Having the Holy Spirit in your life makes your life and ministry so much easier. Just like how a powered drill is easier to use than a screwdriver, the Holy Spirit makes life so much easier than life without Him.
And this week I want you to see that life with the Holy Spirit is not only easier, but it is so much for exciting, interesting, fufilling, and hotter.
Incase you don’t like spicey food, let me ask you this: If you were to go to an amusement park and had the option to ride either the kiddie train or the more extreem rollar coaster with loops in it which would you choose?
Sure the kiddie train looks safer and less intimidating, but out of all the people I have ever gone on an intense rollar coaster with they have never regretted feeling the rush, adrenaline, and excitement.
Life with the Holy Spirit is spicey, full of excitement, and a total rush. I have never regretted choosing to live my life with the Holy Spirit fueling my ministry, and fueling my relationship with God.
Let me ask you another question for you to consider this week: When you get to Heaven what stories do you want to tell?
Do you want to talk about how in your life and relationship with God you always played it safe and never added any fire or let the Holy Spirit take your ministry to the next level?
Or would you want to talk with Jesus and the Disciples about the excitement and thrill you had in life winning the lost to Christ, seeing the sick be healed, watching the broken hearted be restored, and witnessing the miraculous power of God every day.
I don’t know about you, but I would so much rather take advantage of all the gifts God gave us here on Earth so that when I get to Heaven I know that I didn’t miss out on anything!
God says in His Word: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” ~ Revelation 3:15-16
Don’t be a lukewarm Christian! Don’t spend your life not knowing the fire of the Holy Spirit in your life, ministry, and relationship with God!
Live your life on fire for God, and keep that fire hot until the day when we see Jesus come back again and here Him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Better Than Before

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
~ James 1:2-4

I am so thankful for every trial I have gone through in my life.
God has used them to teach me, guide me, and ultimately, to grow me closer to Him. I am better than before because of my trials.

The same can be true for every one of us!

Though God doesn’t cause pain, loss, or heartbreak to come into our lives- when we turn to Him in the midst of our storms of life, He can use them to make us better than before- a testimony of His love.

God wants to constantly make you better than before!
He designed you! He knows what you are capable of! He will never let you go through something you aren’t able to walk through victorious.

When you are going through a trial, no matter what it is, don’t lose faith! Instead, turn your eyes to God and praise Him!
Let it be an opportunity for God to make you better than before!

And every mountain you climb, you will become better than before- And God will be able to show you how far you have come.
