Expecting God

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” ~ Hebrews 11:6

God expects us to expect Him.
When we expect God to move in our lives, we are living by faith.
Living by faith requires total trust of God, and total belief that His Word is true.
Living by faith is putting your trust in what God says, and raising your expectations to match what the Word of God says!
How is that we can confidently expect God to move in our lives? By holding Him to His word!
Confess The Word of God over every area of your life!
When we confess The Word of God over our lives, it allows Him to act in it!
God expects us to hold Him to His word because God is not a liar.
He wants to move in your life!
Expect God to move in your life, and confess His Truth over your life!
Raise your expectations of God in your life.
Never be satisfied with the amount of God in your life, always desire more! That is how we were designed to live!
Always be expecting God to show up and do something amazing!
According to Mark 11:24, “For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received them, and they will be given to you.”
Have faith, have a confident expectation in God.
God wants us to always be in a position of depending on Him. God always wants us to be living with an expectant, confident faith in Him.
Put your complete faith in God, and expect Him to move in your life!

Draw Close To God

There have been seasons in my life when I have felt completely and utterly alone: Friends that I have become so close to suddenly felt so far away, and it would feel as though even my own relatives could never understand how I was feeling.

Looking back on these times I am now so thankful for them, as I have realized that it was during those times that I learned how to draw close to God and receive my comfort and confidence from Him.

Reading through the Word of God we see that David understood that no matter how afraid, alone, or tired he was he could always count on God. The Psalms is a great testimony of how David drew closer to God, and came away stronger and more confident than before.

“The Lord is my light and salvation- whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?”
~Psalm 27:1

If you are in a season today where you feel isolated, alone, or in an impossible position draw close to God!

God will give you the fellowship you need.
God will give you the answers you need.
God will give you the comfort you need.
God will give you the peace and confidence you need.

He is always with us, and always ready for us to come to Him with any burden no matter how heavy.

Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you!

The Power Of Believing

Belief is either empowering or limiting.
It can open up doors for you, or shut them right in your face.

Let me ask you, do you regularly believe the best about yourself, or do you focus on all the things you cannot do…?

Years ago I had to learn that if you are always undervaluing who you are, and overevaluating who you’re not and what you can’t do, you’ll never do much or make as big of a difference as you could be.

In contrast however, when you believe in yourself and have confidence in Christ in you, you can do a lot and make a big difference!

Believe in yourself even when the rest of the world doesn’t.
Believe in the dream God’s given you even when others don’t.

See what God sees, and believe what He believes!

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9

Flu Season? No Thanks.

‘Tiss the season… the season right before the temperature drops and so does everyone’s immune systems, or so it seems. Already I am seeing more and more people in line for the doctor, and several versions of Vitamin C packets on sale all across the country.
Every time someone says that it is flu season, cold season, or any type of sickness season I have one thing to say: COUNT ME OUT!

The Bible tells us that, “But he (Jesus Christ) was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” ~ Isaiah 53:5.

Anytime that I start to feel any symptoms of uncomfort in my body I remind myself and speak out loud this verse. Why? Because this verse tells me that Jesus took on my sicknesses for me so that I don’t have to. So why would I want to pick them up again?

I can choose to be healthy and live free of any burdens of sickness because Christ gave us that gift on the cross, and through the power of His Holy Spirit.

Today if there is any pain or sickness in your body give it to God! He wants to heal and restore you! God wants you to be able to live your best and healthy life, and provided us with a way to do so though Christ!

“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD”
~ Jeremiah 30:17
