Dear friends and family,
Can I share something with you that’s been stirring in my heart?
Have you ever gone through a season when you knew God was with you, but you didn’t feel very victorious?
You believe His Word. You know His promises. You’ve seen Him do extraordinary things before. Yet somehow, the pressures of life begin to wear you down.
Maybe it’s your health. Maybe it’s someone in your family you’re deeply concerned about. Perhaps you’ve been fighting a battle for so long that you’ve almost forgotten what victory feels like.
I’ve had moments like that myself.
And I’ve discovered something. Sometimes our greatest battle isn’t what’s happening around us. It’s what we’ve started believing inside us.
I want to take you back to the Garden of Eden for just a moment.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, something terrible happened. Sin entered the world, and humanity lost its innocence.
The enemy must have thought he had won.
But then God spoke!
In Genesis 3:15, God announced that the Seed of the Woman would crush the serpent’s head, even though the serpent would strike His heel.
Think about that with me.
Before Adam and Eve ever left the garden, God had already announced the enemy’s defeat!
That Seed was Jesus.
And through His death and resurrection, Jesus accomplished what humanity could never accomplish on its own.
But here’s where this becomes personal.
If Jesus has won the victory, why do we sometimes continue living like we’re defeated?
Could it be that our hearts haven’t fully embraced what Christ has already accomplished?
Colossians 1:27 says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Not Christ somewhere far away. Not Christ occasionally visiting you.
Christ IN you!
And that changes everything.
I’ve been thinking about our feet. Strange thing to think about, isn’t it?
But Scripture gives our feet two extraordinary purposes.
First, they’re made to GO!
Isaiah 52:7 talks about the beautiful feet of those who bring good news.
Everywhere you walk, you have an
opportunity to carry the presence, love, and hope of Jesus into someone’s life.
Second, our feet are made to stand in VICTORY!
Romans 16:20 says, “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.”
The enemy wants you looking down at your problems. God wants you looking up at His promises.
And maybe that’s the word you need today.
You don’t have to pretend the battle isn’t real. You don’t have to deny your pain or ignore what you’re walking through.
But please, don’t allow what you’re going through to become greater in your thinking than the Christ who lives within you.
Your circumstances may be difficult, but they do not have the final word over your life. Jesus does!
So here’s what I want to encourage you to do today.
Take another step.
Pray again. Believe again. Reach out to that family member again. Share Jesus with someone. Refuse to let disappointment determine your direction.
Because momentum begins when faith starts moving.
And remember this, my friend.
Your feet were not created to run from the enemy. They were created to carry the Good News and walk in the victory of Jesus!
Keep walking, champion. Your story isn’t over, and the enemy doesn’t get to write the ending!
Blessings,
Mike
