Dear friends and family,
Belief becomes real in the everyday moments of life.
It is one thing to say we trust God; it is another to let that trust shape the way we respond when plans change, fear rises, disappointment comes, or God asks us to take a step we do not completely understand. Faith is not only for the major crossroads of life. Faith is for today.
It is for the conversation you need to have.
The decision you need to make.
The fear you need to release.
The step of obedience you have been postponing.
Every day, something is directing our lives. Our emotions can direct us. Circumstances can direct us. The opinions of people can direct us. Fear can direct us. Or we can allow the Word of God and the Spirit of God to lead us forward.
That is why the picture of a river is so powerful. A river has banks, and those banks give the water direction. They do not stop the river—they create a channel through which it can move with force and momentum. Without direction, water can become stagnant.
The same thing can happen spiritually.
We can love God, attend church, pray, worship, and genuinely believe His promises, yet still find ourselves stuck in the same places because belief has never become movement.
God never intended our faith to become stagnant.
Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
God’s Word gives our faith direction. It begins to change how we see our circumstances, how we respond to pressure, and how we make decisions. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than our ways.
The question is not simply, “Do I believe God?”
The deeper question is, “Will what I believe change what I do today?”
Think of God’s Word like a raft carrying you in the river of His Spirit. When circumstances become overwhelming, His Word keeps you from drowning in fear, confusion, or human reasoning. It keeps you moving in the direction of His purpose even when you cannot see what is around the next bend.
But there is one more step: obedience.
Faith receives.
The Word directs.
The Spirit leads.
Obedience moves.
You may not need another revelation today. You may simply need to act on what God has already spoken.
Make the call. Forgive the person. Release the fear. Take the step.
Trust the promise. Follow His direction.
Do not settle for spiritual stagnation when God is inviting you into His flow.
Let His Word direct your heart. Let His Spirit direct your steps. And today, move in the direction of what you believe.
From my heart to yours,
Mike
