Marsha is with her first love.
All the songs she has sung, all the messages she has heard, all the worship—she is now experiencing in reality! The sounds, the colors, the beauty beyond compare—but most of all, Jesus! The lover of her soul! Nothing could convince her to return. Her love for me has been eclipsed by Him, and I am thrilled for her!
Finding the right words to begin this letter is difficult—not because of sorrow, but because there isn’t a single attribute my beautiful Marsha did not embody with grace and love.
She was a woman of God who knew how to love deeply, and that’s what I admired most about her. It didn’t matter who you were—she made sure you felt seen and heard.
Marsha was always the first to respond when someone was facing a crisis, eager to offer help. She was generous beyond measure, sharing her love, hugs, smiles, and warm welcomes freely. She had a special way of putting a smile on your face.
She exemplified true hospitality, serving all who entered our home and ensuring they left with full hearts, full stomachs, and joyful spirits. She was always quick to listen, genuinely interested in how life was going for others.
I adored the way she asked questions—not just out of curiosity, but with the sincere desire to know you better and to make sure you were okay. For Marsha, there was no such thing as surface-level relationships. She saw no strangers, only people to love.
Because of that deep-rooted love, she reflected what it means to be steadfast, faithful, and devoted in all her relationships—including the most important one, her relationship with God.
The way she worshiped our Heavenly Father was a beautiful sight to behold. Marsha, your worship was not just a moment in time—it was a way of life. And now, in heaven, all the songs you once sang have become your reality. You are face to face with the Creator Himself, witnessing the angels sing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.”
As you rest in your heavenly home, I hope you see the impact you left on so many—from the family who cherished you to the people whose lives you touched, even if only once.
Marsha Sue French, you were, and will forever be, loved by many.
