Is Your Inner Voice Speaking God’s Truths?

May 23rd Monday Motivator

The Bible talks a lot about the power of our words. Words can direct our life!

James 3:4-5 says, “And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.”

Words carry weight and power!

Words speak life or death!

Words encourage or discourage!

Words give hope or anxiety!

Words bring healing or tear down!

What words are you speaking over your life?

Your inner voice matters! Those words play a huge part in how your day (and life) will go.

We have to continue filling ourselves up with the right things because what flows from our mouths comes from the heart.

Let’s choose today to speak positive, kind, and encouraging words into our lives and others’ lives!

“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.” -Luke 6:45 NLT

God Orders Your Steps, Even When You Feel Lost.

MAY 16TH MONDAY MOTIVATOR

Change is never easy, and stepping out into something new can even be scary.

It’s easy for us to get comfortable with the familiar.

But the truth is to grow; we have to get uncomfortable.

God knows our future. He has lined up the steps and paths we take. But what do you do when those steps aren’t what you imagined or expected?

Every step we take prepares us for what God has next!

The Lord is our GPS and leads us one direction at a time. He guides and leads you step-by-step to get to the final destination.

The Israelites were led step-by-step to the promised land. They didn’t see the big picture, but they learned to trust and obey God! And you can too.

God’s plans for you are GOOD, and NOT TO HARM YOU! Those plans will fall into line as we learn to trust and obey Him.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths, I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. -Isaiah 42:16 NIV

Rest Is A Biblical Principle

Are you weary of carrying heavy burdens?

Wearing many “hats” – employee, boss, parent, leader, business owners, caretaker, and so on can create a mounting sense of pressure.

Life can feel non-stop. And the inability to pause can deteriorate our physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

But God said come to me, and I will give you rest.

GO TO GOD! Spend time in His presence. Sometimes life can be so busy the last thing on our agenda is setting time for God, but it’s in those moments we find rest, peace, refreshment, and strength for the day.

Let Him teach and guide you, for He knows the best ways to handle everything ahead of you.

This week take God with you everywhere you go! Put Him on your schedule!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Don’t Give Up Before God Acts!

In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells the parable about a PERSISTENT widow to his disciples.

It’s interesting how Jesus used the word PERSISTENT to describe this woman.

This widow was DETERMINED. She would NOT GIVE UP despite the difficulty.

Just like this widow, we might face challenges that seem insurmountable.

Situations may come that we did not ask for and are out of our control. Yet, God has still given us a tool – persistent prayer!

Through this parable, Jesus encouraged his disciples to “always pray and not give up!”

Always means at all times or on all occasions. GOD IS FAITHFUL AND HEARS OUR PRAYERS! Don’t give up. Your prayer will not go unheard.

This widow did not have much, and it would have been easier for her to lose hope. But despite the odds, she continued to have faith, and her plea was answered!

This widow was so determined to get what she wanted that she made it happen through determination!

STAY DETERMINED! BE PERSISTENT!
