IN GOD WE TRUST

April 24th, 2023 Monday Motivator

Quick reminder, in case you forgot or were doubting – YOU CAN TRUST GOD!

Sure, that’s easier said than done, but it’s true!

So, how do we genuinely gain the confidence to trust in God through challenges?

The Bible says there is NOTHING impossible for those who believe.

The word impossible carries a lot of weight! Nothing can stop God.

So, when we think we are incapable or don’t see a way forward, know that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE for God and YOU when you believe.

The Bible tells us this multiple times.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “…without faith, it is impossible to please God.”

Another verse tells us that “God can’t lie.”

Not only will God not lie, but He also can’t lie. It’s impossible!

That gives a whole other depth and meaning to that verse.

Why is it impossible for Him to lie?

It goes against His character. God is a faithful God—one who is loyal. A person who is considered loyal and faithful in today’s day is someone who is considered trustworthy.

Tell me, would you consider someone trustworthy who lies all the time? Better yet, it’s hard for someone to even trust someone after lying one time. It’s hard to trust if that person would be faithful to do what they say the next time because it causes doubt to enter your mind.

God could not call Himself faithful or tell us to trust in Him if He lied. It would go against His character, causing us to doubt His character. The Bible says, “He is unchanging.”

So, if He was faithful, then He is faithful now.

God has always shown Himself faithful, giving us no chance to doubt Him.

We have no excuse or reason to!

Proverbs 12:12 and 6:16-17 tells that God hates lying.

Lying is considered evil in His eyes, which is understandable because the root is deception, and we know who the Bible refers to as a deceiver – The Devil.

John 8:44 tells us that lying is not the language of our Father but of the devil.

Our God is a just God who partakes in no evil.

If God commanded us not to lie, what makes you think He would lie?

Some of us have a hard time trusting in God’s promises, but if we really understood that God could not lie, we would see he is faithful to fulfill His promise, and we would not doubt.

To doubt God’s promises in a way is to consider Him a liar! Ah!

We doubt because we compare God to the people of this world who have failed us by not fulfilling their duties or promises. God is not to be compared to anyone in this world.

He is just, righteous, and perfect in all His ways.

Today, if you have been struggling to trust God in some areas. I challenge you to meditate on this scripture and thank God that He is faithful to fulfill what He promised.

Hebrews 6:8 “So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness.”

Do You Have The Mind Of Christ?

April 17th, 2023 Monday Motivator

As you celebrated Easter in the US last week I celebrated Easter in Kazakhstan just yesterday! Where I am currently ministering.

While celebrating Easter, I thought about the pain Jesus dealt with from the nailing of His body on the cross and the additional pain from the crown of thrones placed on his head.

As many of you know, it’s one thing to deal with pain in the body and another to experience pain in or on your head.

Jesus not only bore the tormenting pain for our bodies but also for our minds.

Everything that causes our minds to stress, worry, or feel troubled – Jesus bore it.

He bore our griefs and sorrows.

Isaiah 53:4 says, “Yet, we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”

“Upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace.”

In other words, Jesus took upon Himself the beating, pain, suffering, and torture caused by our choices upon Himself, so we no longer have to deal with the pain of it but walk in complete wholeness and peace.

What thoughts are you wrestling with that are stealing your peace?

Is it the thoughts of shame or guilt from a mistake?

Is it the thoughts of worry or stress?

Jesus has already put it upon Himself; you no longer have to carry it!

Jesus said cast your cares upon me!

You can now have the mind of Christ.

All we need to do is humble ourselves, lay it down before Him, and be honest so that we can walk in His peace in exchange.

We no longer have to allow worry or a mistake to cause restlessness in our minds.

Here are some ways to handle your thoughts:

1. Take It Captive- You have the power and authority to take every thought captive that is not obedient to God. To take captive is to arrest. Arrest your thoughts and ask, “How did you get in here?” Notice how it enters your mind, throw it out, and fix the way it entered in. Stand on 2 Corinthians 10:4-6.

2. Cast Them – As I said, some of us take it upon ourselves when we need to cast them upon Jesus. God has the wisdom to handle all things. Stand on 1 Peter 5:7.

3. Confess – Confess over your mind and say, “I have the mind of Christ.” Start to think the way He thinks. By confessing over your mind, you are renewing and transforming it and will begin to think about pure things. Stand on Romans 12:2.

Philippians 4:6-8 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Don’t Fear The Future. Hold Onto The Miracle of Easter!

April 10th, 2023 Monday Motivator

Yesterday, we celebrated a fantastic day – Easter!

I hope you experienced awe and wonder as you thanked Jesus for all He did and the reality that He is now living and not dead.

This got me thinking about a text I received from a dear friend and world leader I pray for often. He is in a situation where the future and the problems are great.

His situation brought to my awareness that many of us are also struggling with the future.

You might be struggling, and I wanted to remind you that God is extraordinary in helping us find our way through uncertainty.

When we go through challenging situations where we don’t know what will happen next, it’s easy to let our hearts be troubled and filled with fear.

But I want to remind you of the miracle of Easter! God brings life from death, fear, and uncertainty.

And 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that Jesus has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind!

I want you to claim that truth.

Hold onto the assurance that God is already in your future.

He is prepared to help you in your future and has made provisions.

Today I am in Uzbekistan, ministering where God has already prepared in this season and hour for the lives of many. God has eternity ready for all who believe.

No matter what you encounter, you can accomplish extraordinary and powerful things this week, but put everything in His hands, surrender, and know His grace.

The same God who parted the Red Sea is the same today.

Let God Work In You, So He Can Work Through You.

April 3, 2023 Monday Motivator

Have you noticed no matter how tight you try to hold onto life, things can still go south?

Some of us go with the flow in life, and others have everything organized. But all of us experience loss, heartache, and pain.

We will all experience circumstances that don’t go as planned, but I have good news for you!

In our brokenness, God reveals His greatness.

2 Corinthians 9:10 tells us that when we are weak, then we are strong!

Things may break, but God restores.

Through our brokenness, God reveals His gift of grace to empower and mercy to restore.

We are trophies of God’s grace and walking testimonies of His greatness and restoration.

Our testimony allows us to be God’s hands and feet for His Kingdom.

God can use you despite what you’ve been through. In fact, what you’ve been through and overcome is now a testimony to someone else!

One of our greatest purposes on earth is to allow God to bring His Kingdom through us!

To bring the peace, joy, healing, and dominion of His Kingdom.

I ask you to consider God’s power to work in and through you today. God’s Kingdom is at hand for you to access and share 24/7.

Many of us aren’t walking fully in what God has made available for us in the Kingdom.

The same way God used Jesus, the disciples, to bring the Kingdom of heaven on earth is the same way He wants to use YOU. Let him.

Consider the prayer of Jesus in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Surrender today, humble yourselves, and let God first work in you so that He can work through you!

2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
