Hello my friend,
As I enter this Thanksgiving season, my heart turns to you. Today I want you to feel as if this letter found only you because your journey, your faith, and your story matter deeply to God.
This has been a year when gratitude has not always come easily. Yet Thanksgiving never begins with perfect circumstances; it begins with a decision of faith. And in Scripture, we find that true gratitude always carries a certain holy boldness, what I call aggressive faith.
Aggressive faith is not loud, harsh, or demanding.
It is the quiet, steady conviction that God’s promises are true, God’s power is present, and God’s purpose will prevail, even when life screams otherwise.
It refuses to drift, retreat, or surrender to fear. It chooses to believe when nothing feels easy, and it declares hope when the soul feels weary.
This Thanksgiving, that’s the faith I’m reaching for. And maybe you are too.
Aggressive faith begins by declaring God’s Word.
Joshua was told to speak it continually because your confession shapes the strength of your obedience. Fear has a voice, but so does the truth. And this season, I’m choosing to speak God’s Word over grief, over uncertainty, over the unknown, and so can you.
Aggressive faith doesn’t just speak; it steps.
Peter didn’t wait for the storm to calm before he walked on water. He obeyed while the wind was still wild. Sometimes Thanksgiving is a step of faith, a bold decision to say, “Lord, I’m grateful,” even while the storm is still moving around you.
Aggressive faith also resists without retreat.
Ephesians 6 tells us to stand, armored, confident, unshaken. To hold ground already won by Christ and to move forward when He leads.
That’s what I’m praying for you this Thanksgiving: a faith that stands strong, loves deeply, hopes boldly, and refuses to negotiate away what God has promised you.
Hebrews 11 reminds us that aggressive faith conquered kingdoms, shut the mouths of lions, quenched flames, escaped the sword, strengthened the weak, and even raised the dead.
That same Jesus walks with you today!
My friend, as you gather with family or maybe navigate an empty chair, may the Holy Spirit breathe strength into you. May gratitude rise, not from comfort, but from confidence in the God who holds your story.
I am thankful for you. I am praying for you. And I believe with all my heart, your best days of faith, courage, and purpose are still ahead.
With gratitude and grace,
Mikel
