There is something often overlooked about unconditional love; it’s endless – no conditions mean no limits!
God’s love is everlasting.
Jeremiah 31:3 tell us, “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have drawn you with loving devotion.'”
The meaning of everlasting is “long duration, antiquity, futurity.”
Antiquity being of the ancient past or great age.
Futurity is a future time, future event, renewed or continuing existence.
This brings me to Romans 8:35-39, “What can separate us from the love of God?” Nothing!
If God’s love for us existed before and continues after, then what can come between us? Nothing can separate us from His everlasting love.
Standing on this biblical truth can give us such peace and security.
His love is inexhaustible and unable to be used up because He has an abundant supply. There are no conditions and no limits.
Two of my family’s favorite restaurants are:
1. A Mexican restaurant
2. Red Robin
Why? Because of the bottomless salsa supply at a Mexican restaurant and the bottomless fries deal at Red Robin!
IT’S ALL YOU CAN EAT!
As long as you ask, they continue to bring you more and more salsa or fires until you are full and can’t eat anymore.
God’s love for you is the same.
It’s an all-you-can-eat type of love. There is a bottomless supply of His for you – take what you need.
It was a part of His promise as you became one of His children!
The crazy thing is that He loved you before you could ever accept His love.
How wide? How deep? Is the love of God? I want you to discover new depths as you pursue Him and lean on that promise when you need it.
We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
