Cherished Family and Friend,
Tomorrow, September 30, will be eight months since Marsha stepped into eternity and saw the face of the One she gave her life to as a teenager.
Just writing those words still makes my heart ache.
Many of you have asked me, "How are you doing?" The truth is—it changes. Sometimes from hour to hour.
Yet in the middle of this season, ministry has continued to grow. Doors keep opening, hearts keep responding, and hunger for God is rising everywhere. For this, I am so thankful. But grief is still very real.
What I've discovered more than ever is the power of prayer—both in victory and in sorrow. Prayer has been my lifeline, the bridge between my brokenness and God's presence. I've learned that the life of overcoming is often very close to the pain of tribulation, and that the peace of God is nearer than we think.
Paul wrote that His peace "passes all understanding." I can say with certainty—I have experienced it. And this peace keeps reminding me of our hope, a hope anchored in the power of the resurrection.
I believe God is stirring His Church and even the world with a supernatural awakening. But awakening comes with shaking. Scripture tells us that everything that can be shaken will be shaken—so that what cannot be shaken will remain.
Why the shaking? Because shaking brings the loosening power of the Holy Spirit.
This is the hour when those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. So even as distress and violence increase around us, our hearts must stay anchored in hope. Jesus said, "Be of good cheer—I have overcome the world."
Let's go forward with the joy of the Lord as our strength. Let boldness rise out of brokenness. Let His light shine through us, for we are the light of the world. We are the salt that preserves hope in a chaotic time.
Hope wins. And God is still moving.
With you,
Mikel
