My dear friend,

As I step into this new year, there is a phrase the Holy Spirit has been pressing deeply into my heart, one you’ve heard me say often, but one I believe carries fresh weight now more than ever: an adventure into the heart of God.

I hear the Lord whispering it personally, tenderly, and with holy excitement: “Mike, I’m taking you on an adventure into the heart of God as you approach this new year.” And as I write to you, I sense that same invitation extended to your life.

Are you excited? Are you filled with anticipation? Do you believe God is about to do something supernatural?

If so, great! But you must know this adventure requires not only God’s participation, but ours as well.

An adventure first implies:

1. Movement

It means leaving what is familiar and stepping into what is unseen.

It requires trust, courage, and a willingness to follow the voice of God even when the map is incomplete.

This is not a passive year. This is not a year to coast. This is a year to lean in, to listen closely, and to respond quickly.

No matter where you are.
No matter your age.
No matter what season you find yourself in.

God is still speaking.

The Bible reminds us that in the last days God will pour out His Spirit, and sons and daughters will prophesy, young men will see visions, and old men will dream dreams. (Joel 2:28)

Notice this, there is no expiration date on vision.

There is no moment where God says, “I’m done revealing My heart to you.” As long as you are breathing, He is inviting you deeper.

Some of what God shows you this year may not be fully completed by your hands. You may plant what others will harvest. You may begin what others will finish. But obedience is never measured by completion, it is measured by faithfulness. Your responsibility is not to control outcomes, but to listen and respond.

An adventure into the heart of God requires:

2. Preparation

Prepare your heart to be sensitive.
Prepare your schedule to be interrupted.
Prepare your faith to stretch.
Prepare your obedience to be immediate.

This kind of journey will challenge comfort and confront complacency.

It will ask you to trust God beyond logic and follow Him beyond certainty. But it will also awaken joy, deepen intimacy, and renew purpose in ways you never imagined.

This year, don’t settle for information when God is offering revelation.

Don’t settle for routine when God is inviting relationship. Don’t settle for survival when God is calling you into adventure.

Lean in. Listen closely. Say yes quickly.

The Holy Spirit is not calling you to a task, He is inviting you into His heart. And what you discover there will change you forever.

With faith and expectation,
Mike
