Good morning,

In Oklahoma, tornado valley, we experienced our first taste of spring weather.

Thunderstorms louder than ever. Green skies and dusty wind. Sirens going off without end. It is safe to say spring did not arrive gently or quietly.

But although spring weather can have its gloomy moments, something beautiful takes place as well. The earth itself seems to rise and declare, “Life. I am alive again.” As frozen ground softens. Rain falls. Buds push through hardened bark. Grass turns into this thriving color of green.

And while I watch this transition unfold before me in the earth, I feel it stir within me how this takes place within our own lives.

It’s like something inside says, “God is doing it again.”

The same God who awakens forests and fields longs to awaken His Church, to break dormancy, and to release life that cannot be contained.

Scripture says, “You visit the earth and water it… You crown the year with Your goodness” (Psalm 65:9–11).

What God does in creation is a mirror of what He desires to do in His people.

The prophet declared, “Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field” (Isaiah 32:15).

And as spring arrives, three truths hit me.

First, life refuses to remain buried when God calls it forth.

Trees look dead, but hidden within is the pulse of life waiting for His word.

Jesus said, “The hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live” (John 5:25). Dormancy is never final where God breathes.

Second, awakening breaks resistance.

A frozen ground does not volunteer to soften as the sun begins to melt it. The Kingdom of God moves like the warming sun, breaking barriers and forcing change.

Jesus declared, “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12). When God moves, stagnation cannot stand.

Third, rain prepares for harvest.

Spring rain softens the soil so life can break through.

Scripture says, “Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain; He will give showers of blessing” (Zechariah 10:1).

When the Spirit moves, hearts soften, faith rises, and life bursts forth.

So today, as creation awakens, I pray with urgency: “Lord, awaken Your people. Pour out Your Spirit. Release Your love, Your joy, and Your power in ways the world cannot ignore.”

As we approach Easter, spring and resurrection together declare this truth:

Dormancy is never final. Life answers the voice of its Creator. The watching world will see His glory. And when God breathes again, nothing stays the same.

Resurrection is not history. It is power. The stone was rolled away. Death was defeated. And the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us (Romans 8:11).

Friends, may today’s reading be a reminder that God is not only doing a work in the earth but also in His most prized creation… you!

Supernatural Blessings,
Mike
