Cherished Family and Friends,

Dozens of times, I have stood on a platform and asked people to do something simple—turn to the person next to them and share the best meal they have ever eaten.

Maybe it was your mother's cooking, a favorite restaurant, or something unforgettable at a friend's table. I tell them: "You each have 30 seconds—go!"

Almost instantly, laughter fills the room. People delight in sharing the memory of good food. There is joy in remembering, and even greater joy in expressing it.

When the room settles, I lean in and say: "Do you realize that the same ease you just had in describing food is the same way you can share what God has done in your life through the power of the Holy Spirit?"

Here in Nairobi, Kenya, early this morning before I speak tonight to many young men and women about being overcomer's,  this truth burns in my heart.

Revelation 12:11 declares: "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." We are overcomer's—not because life is easy, but because the presence of God always triumphs.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:8: "Taste and see that the Lord is good."

Taste is a personal experience; seeing is the testimony you share with others. Both are vital.

When you taste His goodness in your own life, you cannot help but tell someone else. Just as laughter breaks out when people describe food, joy and hope break out when we share what Jesus has done.

Does this mean we never walk through valleys or face challenges? Absolutely not. Life is full of tests, losses, and difficult seasons. But being an overcomer means the presence of God within us always rises above the trial.

His Spirit strengthens us, His Word anchors us, and His love sustains us.

Let me give you three simple points about the power of God working in us:

  1. His Presence Changes Us. Every time we encounter Him, we are renewed. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
  2. Our Testimony Changes Atmospheres. Speaking of His goodness shifts hearts toward faith. (Romans 10:17)
  3. The Gospel Changes People. When we share Jesus, lives are transformed forever. (Romans 1:16)

Friend, it is always a joy to share the Good News. Just as you would eagerly describe the best meal you ever had, let your testimony of Jesus flow with joy, hope, and conviction.

Someone near you is hungry to hear the story of God's goodness in your life today.

With love in Christ,
Mikel
