Are you holding onto something that could be jeopardizing your life and relationships?

Do you think what you are holding onto is worth more than your relationship with Christ and others?

The past happened and you should not punish yourself by living with the memories. Problems and situations can take away from you, but you have to make the choice to reclaim everything in your recovery from it.

So, letting go means empowering yourself with the present resources and deciding to live the best possible life now. If you let go of a feeling, attitude, or the control that you have over something, you accept that you should give it up or that it
should no longer influence you.

Some things are just not worth holding onto:
Bitterness, wrath, anger, regret, depression, worry, fear and anxiety, among others.

Even those these things are hard to deal with, are they really worth losing a relationship with Christ, your spouse, your children, your job, your family, your neighbors?

God tells us in His Word to let go of all the bitterness and anger in our hearts.
God tells us to forgive, be kind to, and love one another.

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you”~ Ephesians 4:31-32

Letting go is hard because it means that you need to free yourself from some aspects of your past. Things that have become a part of yourself – of what makes you who you are today. Most people understand it as … getting rid of those things…results in changing who you are…so you might find letting go to be scary.

Letting Bitterness, Anger, Fear Regret, Worry, Depression and Anxiety
rule your life IS JUST NOT WORTH the consequences or end result!

Drop whatever feelings you are holding onto that contradict the love of God, and
drop the bondages that are keeping you from God and loving others.

I know it’s easier said than done, but it’s YOUR CHOICE!
Trust in God, and He will help you!
