I want to encourage you today about walking in the F.O.G.—the Favor of God.
As a beloved child of God, you can expect His favor to touch every area of your life. Whether in your job, finances, relationships, or new opportunities, God’s favor is something you can look forward to.
You might wonder: How can I be sure of this favor?
Because when God looks at you, He sees you through the perfect and finished work of Jesus Christ. He sees His beloved Son in you—the one He treasures.
You may feel unworthy of such favor or hesitant to pray for it, especially when challenges come. But here’s the truth: God delights in showing you His favor!
Think about it: As a parent or guardian, would you ever withhold something good from your child? When you have the chance to help, love, or bless your child, don’t you jump at the opportunity? Of course, you do! If we, with all our limitations, love our children this way, how much more does our Heavenly Father want to bless and favor us? His love for you is without condition or limit.
God’s favor doesn’t come because of what we do—it comes because of who He is. His favor flows from His greatness and grace.
Let this truth sink deep into your heart: Your life is blessed with the favor of God. Not because of your circumstances, but because of the unchanging nature of God.
No matter what you are walking through right now, God’s promises stand firm.
Even when life is hard, God’s favor is still working on your behalf.
Look at Joseph’s story: His brothers sold him into slavery, and he was later thrown into prison—though he was innocent. Yet, over and over, the Bible tells us, “God gave him favor.” Whether Joseph was in prison, in slavery, or serving in the palace, God’s favor was with him in every season.
And just as Joseph experienced favor, so will you. Even when things seem difficult or uncertain, you can trust that God is working all things for your good.
I know you’ve heard about what Marsha and I are going through. But time and again, we’ve seen God’s favor show up—sometimes in ways we didn’t expect, but always just when we needed it.
Let me encourage you: No matter what you’re facing today, God’s favor is there to meet you. In joy or sorrow, in success or struggle—His favor never runs out. It’s His promise, and He delights in pouring it out on you.
Let God wrap you in His love and bless your life through His favor!
