Does God’s light shine through your life,
or
are you one of those “Secret Service Christians”
you keep it hidden in the dark?
In God’s Word, Peter describes believers as those who are, “Called out of darkness into His marvelous light.” -1 Peter 2:9
We who have received salvation are transferred to the “Kingdom of Light.” That light shines through our lives and reflects the nature of Christ—His love, compassion, and forgiveness. His light shines through our attitudes, words, and deeds.
It should be obvious by one’s actions, that they belong to Christ!
Some people have been hiding out in the dark for too long!
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds…” Those who seek the praise of men will receive no other reward, but those who live unto God before the world will reflect God to a hurting planet and be rewarded in Heaven. -Matt. 5:16
A way to think about it is… as if you are bringing light into a dark room… it changes the atmosphere…it enables all to see. So, if you think about it…it’s like the presence of Jesus…when in it…it touches one’s heart.
As you take time out of your day to read this, take time to ask God to help you shine brightly with His nature; His love, compassion and forgiveness, and to set a Godly example of obedience to His Word.
Jesus said, “You are light for the world”
so, “Be the light.”-Matthew 5:14
