Beloved Family and Friends,

I’ve been thinking about you this week yes, you and something in my heart is still settling after the past few days.

I just returned from Israel last night, and every single day of that trip, God carved out moments that touched me deeply.

Moments that weren’t loud or dramatic, but simple, sacred invitations to see His Word more clearly, more personally, more profoundly than I ever have before.

Standing in the places where Scripture unfolded didn’t just give me knowledge it gave me moments. Moments that opened my heart.

Moments that reminded me that God is still speaking. Moments that established an even greater hope in me one I didn’t even know I needed.

And as I sat with all of that on the flight home, I felt God nudge me to share something with you.

God uses moments to anchor His love in us.

And when He does, those moments become momentum.

Christmas is the greatest example of that.

One moment in time quiet, unpolished, tucked into a manger became the foundation of a hope that is still holding us together today. So as I prayed for you, three things rose in my heart:

  • God’s love shows up in ordinary moments.

Bethlehem wasn’t glamorous. Neither were most of the places I stood in Israel.

Yet those were the spaces where God revealed Himself. Your ordinary is not overlooked by Him. He meets us in what feels small and familiar, and somehow makes it holy.

  • Hope is not a feeling it’s a foundation.

When you stand where Jesus walked, you realize hope isn’t something fragile that comes and goes. It’s solid. It’s steady. It’s a Person.

Because Jesus came then, you can stand now. Even if life feels shaky, your foundation is not.

  • God is still writing moments into your story.

Just as He met me through unexpected moments in Israel, He has moments prepared for you this week quiet whispers, surprising encouragements, reminders that He’s closer than you think.

He’s still crafting hope into your heart one moment at a time.

The Scripture I keep coming back to is this:

“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” – John 1:14

John is declaring that the God who created time stepped into it not as a guest, but as someone who came to stay.

That’s Christmas. That’s hope. That’s the momentum carrying you forward right now.

So as you move through this week, look for the moments. God is in them. And each one is shaping a stronger foundation of hope in you.

I’m cheering for you.

Mike
