Friends and Family,
As I write these words, I am preparing to speak Friday night at the National Pastors Conference in Moscow. My heart is deeply moved. I cannot escape the yieldedness of nearly 2,000 pastors, wives, and families who have chosen to obey the Word of God, regardless of cost, pressure, or uncertainty. There is something holy about standing among believers who have settled the issue of surrender.
As many of you pray for our brothers and sisters across Russia, I ask you to intercede fervently on behalf of the Russian Church. I believe there are three things evident in these believers that God desires to see in every Christian everywhere: be bold, be broken, be bright.
Be bold.
There is a courage here that cannot be manufactured by personality or position. It is born from conviction. These pastors continue to preach Christ, shepherd people, and stand firm in faith with remarkable perseverance. In a world intoxicated with fear and compromise, boldness has become a prophetic witness. Pray that the church in Russia would continue to proclaim Jesus with clarity, purity, and power. Pray for supernatural courage to rest upon leaders, churches, and families.
Be broken.
God never despises a broken and contrite heart. There is a tenderness among many of these believers that reflects deep dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Brokenness is not weakness; it is surrendered strength. It is the place where pride dies, and grace flows freely. Pray that the Russian church would remain soft before the Lord, sensitive to His voice, and free from cynicism, weariness, or despair. Ask God to pour out fresh encounters with His presence upon pastors and their families.
Be bright.
Jesus declared that we are the light of the world. In difficult times, light shines brightest. I have seen believers whose joy, kindness, and unwavering hope radiate the nature of Christ. The church must never merely survive dark seasons; it must illuminate them. Pray that believers across Russia would shine with love, holiness, compassion, and supernatural hope. Pray that entire cities would encounter the reality of Jesus through the witness of His people.
Today, let us stand in agreement for the Russian church. Pray for protection. Pray for strength. Pray for revival. Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon every pastor, every congregation, every family, and every generation.
May the church of Jesus Christ in Russia be bold in faith, broken before God, and bright with His glory.
Blessings,
Mikel
