In the midst of my grief, when the pain feels overwhelming and the weight of sorrow presses heavily upon my heart, I find myself calling on the name of Jesus. His name is more than a word it is my refuge, my strength, and my comfort. Every tear I cry is met with His presence, reminding me that I am not alone.

When I speak His name, I feel His peace, His love, and His promise that He is with me always. Even in sorrow, the name of Jesus is my anchor, lifting me above the waves of grief and into the arms of His unfailing grace.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

The name of Jesus carries power and authority in countless ways. It is a name that brings hope to the hopeless, light to the darkest places, and healing to the wounded soul.

Here are 5 more reasons why His name is powerful:

  1. Salvation – “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13) His name is the gateway to eternal life and redemption.
  2. Healing – “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” (Acts 3:6) The name of Jesus brings healing and restoration to our bodies, minds, and spirits.
  3. Authority over demons – “In my name they will drive out demons.” (Mark 16:17) His name has power over the forces of darkness, bringing freedom to the oppressed.
  4. Answered Prayer – “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do.” (John 14:13) Jesus’ name grants us access to the Father, and through Him, our prayers are heard and answered.
  5. Protection – “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10) His name is our stronghold, our shield against the storms of life.

No matter what trials we face, calling on the name of Jesus changes everything. In our grief, in our joy, in our need, and in our victories, His name is our constant source of strength. Let us cling to Him, knowing that in His name, we find all that we need.
