Embracing Life’s Breaks

May 13th, 2024

Lately, I’m reminded of a quote that’s become more real to me: “No matter how tightly or loosely you hold onto life, it breaks.” It’s a powerful reminder that life is unpredictable, and challenges are inevitable.

But here’s the incredible part: in our moments of struggle and brokenness, we have the opportunity to witness the greatness of God. Every trial, every setback is a chance for Him to display His strength and love.

So, embrace the challenges that come your way, knowing that they are opportunities for growth and for God to work in your life. Remember, His grace is more than sufficient to carry you through even the toughest times.

As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So, don’t be afraid to draw near to God’s throne of grace with confidence, knowing that He will provide you with the strength and mercy you need.

No matter what you’re facing, know that you’re never alone.

God is always with you, fighting for you and empowering you to overcome.

So, hold onto the truth, cling to the name of Jesus, and draw near to Him. He’s there, ready to guide you through every challenge and lead you to victory.

Remember, with Jesus by your side, you can conquer anything that comes your way. So, stand firm, stay strong, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He’s with you every step of the way. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. – James 1:2-4

The Power of One

May 6th, 2024

One day, I was meditating on the factor of prayer, mainly praying for someone or interceding on their behalf.

As I was pondering this, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me about the power of one.

Not only does the power of one person’s prayer cause a change, for the Bible tells us in James 5:16, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

But also, simply spending one minute in prayer for someone daily. So, I began to implement this in my life and ministry.

The power of one person can cause mighty things to happen.

For example, let’s consider the power of one person’s action that changed your and my life forever, Jesus.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 that One died for all. All of us lived a life of subtraction, a life of minus because of sin. A life of loss and emptiness until the power of One came and broke that curse.

What I want to convey today is: that don’t underestimate the power you can have on a person’s life. Whether that is through prayer, a kind action, or any other means. The power of one person coming into a situation of another and coming into agreement with them can cause an effective change in their situation.

So, this week, spend one minute in prayer for someone. Do one kind act that you might not have done otherwise. It will begin to make a difference for them!
